Who are We?

We are wine lovers who broadened their passion for wine with formal education. Our aim is to progress in our proficiency, share our knowledge with other wine lovers and contribute to the development of the Turkish wine scene. We organize tastings and domestic/international trips for our professional development. We strive to connect with and promote Turkish grapes, producers and their wines.

Our primary areas of concentration are;

• attending international fairs, expos, competitions with the aim of promoting Turkish viticulture and wines;

• organizing national and international conferences, seminars, meetings, competititons in order to assist the professional development of our members;

• coordinating national/international meetings and trips to enhance professional networking as well as social interaction amongst our members;

• determining the ethical standards of our members;

• representing our members in national/international platforms;

• providing training programmes and certification for on-trade professionals with the aim of supporting Turkey’s tourism sector;     

• raising awareness amongst consumers regarding the negative influences of alcohol consumption as part of our social responsibility;

• cooperating with the academia in and outside Turkey;

• becoming a member of relevant international professional organizations and institutions. 

Conditions for Membership

Full members need to have an advanced level degree or certification in wine. Those who hold intermediatel level certification can be associate members and attend all activities of the association as well.
